Garden Flat

Located in Fulham, London, this mid-terrace Victorian ground floor flat features a spacious west-facing rear garden and a central patio, created through a previous side return extension. The flat already has an open-plan living room/kitchen/dining area that seamlessly connects with the rear garden.

This project comprises three distinct components: a garden studio, a renovated bathroom, and a redesigned patio.

The garden studio’s design prioritises understated elegance. A timber structure houses a versatile studio space that can be adapted as an office or summer garden room. Two large full-height and width bifold doors provide a seamless connection with the garden when fully opened. Additionally, there’s a storage room with an external entrance. A vertical thermo pine wood slat cladding imparts a soft, minimalist aesthetic to the studio.

The patio design caters to the client’s desire for a Japanese plunge pool, situated adjacent to a bench seat and planter, all clad in thermo pine wood.

Lastly, the bathroom undergoes a complete overhaul, featuring a walk-in shower and timber cabinets adorned with Jura stone cross and vein cut throughout.
