Townhouse Kitchen
Situated in the heart of Weybridge’s town centre, this Victorian townhouse extension and kitchen refurbishment addresses the client’s desire to connect the rear garden with the house’s interior. An outdated glass-uPVC conservatory was replaced with a modern tiled pitch roof and brick facade extension that harmoniously blends with the existing house’s architectural features. The planning process was streamlined by the permitted development rights.
The newly designed kitchen comprises a full-length galley kitchen with ample storage space and a new sash window positioned above the sink. A central walkway leads into the extension, where the new dining area is located. A bifold door with an integrated shading system provides a panoramic view and opens onto the terrace. Combined with the galley kitchen and dining room, it creates a new axis connecting the living room to the garden. Two Velux roof lights and large double tilt windows on the side provide ample daylight entry and ventilation. The window sill incorporates a built-in bench seat for the dining table.
